Hosting Policy
Effective Date: January 1st, 2025
Last Updated: August 22nd, 2026
At Hostbotica, we provide fully managed WordPress and ColdFusion hosting services. To maintain a reliable, secure, and consistent hosting environment, Hostbotica follows a managed-access model and maintains control over server configuration, DNS, infrastructure, and related hosting operations.
Managed Hosting Only
Hostbotica does not provide direct administrative access to hosting environments. This includes:
- No cPanel, Plesk, or customer-managed hosting dashboard
- No FTP, SFTP, or SSH access
- No direct database or server-level file access
- No direct access to Hostbotica-managed DNS or Cloudflare accounts
Server and hosting operations are handled by Hostbotica’s technical team. Clients may submit requests for file updates, DNS changes, database exports, configuration changes, and other hosting-related work through Hostbotica support.
DNS and Cloudflare
Hostbotica uses a centralized Cloudflare configuration for hosted websites to provide:
- Secure DNS routing
- DDoS protection
- Caching and performance optimization
- SSL/TLS management and enforcement
Important:
- Nameservers and Hostbotica-managed DNS records must not be changed without authorization.
- Changes that bypass or interfere with the required Hostbotica Cloudflare configuration may affect hosting eligibility.
- DNS changes should be requested through Hostbotica support.
Performance & Resource Use
Hostbotica provides a managed hosting environment designed to maintain reliable performance across all hosted websites and applications.
Routine hosting does not include application-level performance optimization, code remediation, database optimization, plugin or theme troubleshooting, or modernization work unless those services are specifically included in a support agreement.
Websites or applications that consume excessive server resources or materially affect the performance, stability, or reliability of other hosted services may require remediation.
Hostbotica may require one or more of the following:
- Website or application optimization
- Removal, replacement, or remediation of inefficient components
- Database or application-level performance work
- Additional technical support or development services
- Migration to a dedicated or otherwise more appropriate hosting environment
Hostbotica reserves the right to require remediation or migration when a website or application is no longer appropriate for its current hosting environment.
Email Setup & Deliverability
Hostbotica hosting does not include mailbox services or unrestricted server-based outbound email.
Transactional and marketing email should be handled through an approved external email provider.
- Hostbotica hosting IP addresses are not intended for direct outbound email delivery.
- Clients must use an approved third-party provider for transactional or marketing email.
- Recommended providers include:
- Amazon Web Services SES – Recommended for reliable transactional email delivery and scalable usage.
- Brevo – An alternative for transactional email and moderate sending volume.
Deliverability Disclaimer:
Hostbotica is not responsible for third-party email deliverability issues unless troubleshooting, configuration, or email support is included in the client’s support agreement or provided as billable technical support.
Clients are responsible for maintaining valid credentials and required email authentication, including SPF, DKIM, and DMARC where applicable.
Hostbotica can assist with configuration, troubleshooting, and verification under applicable support or development services.
Security and Integrity
Hostbotica’s infrastructure is designed around controlled access, operational consistency, and centralized management.
Restricting direct infrastructure access helps reduce the risk of:
- Server or application misconfiguration
- Unauthorized data exposure
- Compromised backups or stored data
- Unauthorized third-party changes
- Configuration conflicts that affect hosted services
Hostbotica may take reasonable technical or administrative action when necessary to protect the security, stability, or integrity of its hosting environment.
Data Access & Backups
- Clients retain ownership of their website content and data.
- File and database exports are available upon request.
- Routine backups are maintained internally as part of Hostbotica’s managed hosting operations.
- Clients may request additional or periodic copies of their website files or database when needed.
Acceptable Use
Hostbotica does not permit its services to be used for illegal, abusive, malicious, or harmful activity.
Prohibited uses include, but are not limited to:
- Spam or phishing operations
- Malware distribution or malicious software
- Unauthorized or infringing content
- Activity intended to compromise, disrupt, or misuse systems or networks
Violations may result in suspension or termination of hosting services.
Support & Communication
Hosting-related changes, configuration requests, and technical support should be submitted directly to Hostbotica.
Routine hosting administration is handled as part of the managed hosting service. Requests involving development, troubleshooting, performance optimization, application changes, or other work outside routine hosting administration may require a separate support agreement or billable technical services.
Emergency or after-hours support may be subject to additional terms or charges depending on the nature of the request.
Billing & Contracts
Hosting fees, service terms, support arrangements, and other contractual terms are provided directly to each client and are not published as part of this policy.
Clients who need a copy of their current agreement or billing terms may contact Hostbotica.
